Will there be a place to store our costumes in between competitions? There will be dressing rooms where you can leave your costumes. These rooms will be monitored during the day and locked overnight, although we recommend you take your belongings out of the dressing rooms at the end of the competition.

In response to your question about Pro-Am: The 2014 Gay Games Dancesport competition will not include any Pro Am events. The North American Same-Sex Partner Dance Association (NASSPDA) is the sanctioning organization for the ballroom portions of this competition (which includes American styles), and NASSPDA defines a Pro/Am couple to be one in which one dancer pays the other to compete with them. If a couple does not fit within this definition, then they're free to compete in any part of the competition. A more detailed explanation can be found in NASSPDA's Competition Rules which can be found online at: www.nasspda.org/documents/NASSPDA%20Competition%20Rules%20130601.pdf.

What dancesport events will be happening on each day of the week? Will there be different divisions on different days, and(or) will there be final rounds as the competition progresses? Thank you!

Thank you Sergei for the question. We have reached out to the DanceSport director and her response is below:
"The dance floor is being laid on Monday and won't be available for practice until perhaps the evening. We've located 2 studios in the area that are delighted to have us come practice. One of them is one rapid transit stop back towards the airport from the hotel. The other is a 20-minute drive from the Hotel, but the manager has offered to provide a shuttle and will not charge for practice time. We'll distribute more details and/or post them to the website as we get closer."
