1) Does a registered/paid dancesport participant have to buy dancesport tickets to watch the events they are not participating in? For example, if I compete in Country Western dance on Thursday, do I pay for that day and/or other dancesport days? 2) if someone is attending the games but is not competing, can they use the shuttle? how would they pay for that? 3) what type of dance music will be played at the gala, if any?

1) Does a registered/paid dancesport participant have to buy dancesport tickets to watch the events they are not participating in? For example, if I compete in Country Western dance on Thursday, do I pay for that day and/or other dancesport days? A registered Dancesport participant will have access to watch all Dancesport events on all 4 days regardless of which events they themselves participate in.
2) if someone is attending the games but is not competing, can they use the shuttle? how would they pay for that? What shuttle? From where to where? Not sure what you meant.
3) what type of dance music will be played at the gala, if any? Much music will be played at the gala. It will be primarily a social dance with some demonstration dances done by the top level competition winners. The music will be partner dance music and will be a variety including: waltz, tango, foxtrot, quickstep, swing, cha-cha, rumba, samba, country western, hustle, and I can't think what all else, but I think that pretty much covers it. 4) can a participant compete in just one dance of a particular division or do they have to do all the dances? Multi-part answer Country Western: Country Western couples and line dancers can compete in just one of the dances in these divisions. However, to be eligible to win any multi-dance event OVERALL, a couple must compete in all dances in that event. Mixed Gender: Participating couples are expected to to dance all 3 dances in each category as listed on the website. Ballroom and Argentine Tango: These events are graded, and couples must dance, at a minimum, the dances that are required for the grading rounds (in Argentine Tango, that is only one dance--tango). All couples will be PLACED into a particular grade by the judges (A, B, C, etc.) REGARDLESS of the grade for which they registered and based on their dancing that day in the grading rounds. The events themselves require different number of dances as posted on the website and shown below. (If a couple is put into a grade that requires a dance they don't know, they may stand aside while remaining on the dance floor, and they will be placed last in that dance.)
