Thanks for posting about forward tees. Our tournament director is looking into the distances and will make a decision on the location of the tees.

In regards to scheduling. I was hoping to get more information I originally signe up for 2 sports volleyball and golf. They have since changed dates of indoor volleyball consolidating it to 3 days. In order to play on Wednesday I need to play at least 1 point of pool play Monday or Tuesday. Golf is a definate but want to see about start times. I am an 18 handicap. Will everyone be starting at 8:00am or is there a possibility of 12pm or afternoon start time. Just trying to figure out what to do or who I should talk to, if anyone.

Before I sign up for Golf Team - Is it possible to rent clubs. I'm flying in from Hawaii and doing several trips on the mainland before arriving in Cleveland.

Do spectators require tickets? If so, how do they get them? i.e. if I play golf, does my partner need to buy a ticket to get in and watch me play?

John G,
Spectators are not supposed to be allowed on the course. You can announce that your partner is your caddy, and have them ride in the cart with you.

John G, Spectators are not supposed to be allowed on the course. You can announce that your partner is your caddy, and have them ride in the cart with you. The website says no caddies, please check on this as this could change my plans. "All players will be required to ride. No Caddies allowed"

Response from golf director: This event does not allow Caddies, for speed of play all players must ride in the cart they are assigned. In regards to your partner wanting to watch, Firestone will not allow spectators on the golf course - for insurance reasons. Our solution is to identify these individuals who wish to follow along and make them “fore caddies” for that group. As a volunteer your partner will be able to go out with your group, but will not be able to ride in a cart, or give you advice. I’m sorry for any confusion prior to this response. Looking forward to seeing you in just less than 2 weeks.

Can someone please call me before I ride out there next week. My friend is recovering from surgery and transferred his registration to me. I think that part is all set but I have some specific questions regarding the golf event that I need to talk to someone about. 617-640-2650
Thank you! John

Hi, when will we receive hole assignments for our team. What time will the course be open on August 11 and 12? Doe we park in the lot east of the clubhouse?

So according to the "spectator" solution described above, my friends who have taken vacation days to see me play would need to sign up as a volunteer and request to be placed as a "fore caddie"? Then those people could either be placed at a specific hole as described in the fore caddie information or could follow along with the golfers as long as they don't offer advice and walk. Is that correct?
