I'm writing these questions on behalf of some bowlers from the US West Coast who will be participating in Gay Games 9.
Some of these bowlers are hoping to fly to Cleveland on August 9, arriving in time to be in the Opening Ceremony. But, they will likely arrive after the accreditation center closes at 5pm.
Then, on Sunday, the schedule for bowling says that the tournament will start as early as 8am. However, the accreditation center won't be opening on Sunday until 1pm.
Thus, the following questions...
1) If someone arrives in Cleveland after the accreditation center closes at 5pm on Saturday, will they still be able to participate in the Opening Ceremony?
2) If bowling truly begins at 8am on Sunday, or anytime before 1pm, what should a bowler do regarding completing his/her accreditation?
These bowlers are trying to avoid having to fly into Cleveland on Friday and spend another night in a hotel room.
Thanks for some answers to these questions.

Accreditation will be open until 6 p.m. Saturday at the Cleveland Convention Center, a 5- to 10-minute walk to the Opening Ceremony venue pre-party/gathering area. We expect to offer a limited credential-only pickup at the OC lineup venue for last-minute arrivals. Those individuals then could return to the Convention Center later in the week to pick up the rest of the materials.
